Many cases, the location of the serial number is common between brands and types of equipment; If you do not see your brand listed, we recommend checking the noted location of the serial number for the type of unit

AFG (Advanced Fitness Group) Serial # Locations

Rower Unit	Serial # Location
Model A	Units manufactured before October 1, 1982 will not have a serial#. Date of purchase is used for these rowers. Units after October 1, 1982 the serial# is located on the bottom edge of the mount board for the chain guide. Serial# can be 2 pair of numbers seperated by a dash or 6 numbers.
Model B	Located under the left or right foot board (must tip unit on its side to expose).
Model C	Located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs on the bottom side of the rower. Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed.
Model D	Units prior to October 17, 2005 the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs on the bottom side of the rower. Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed. Units from October 17, 2005 to present the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs attached to the left side of the flywheel cover. Serial# will be three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.
Model E	Located on the left side of the flywheel housing under the box arm. The flywheel is attached to the box arm and it is the main angled arm. Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.
Dynamic Indoor Rower	Located on the inner left side of the front leg. Front leg is the leg that attahces to the monitor arm. Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.

Precor Serial # Locations
Serial numbers of Precor equipment are almost always on a white label below a black barcode (appears similar to a UPC code). Depending on the date of manufacture, the serial number is an alphanumeric combination that is either 10 or 13 characters long. The serial number is in different locations depending on the type of equipment you own.

Bikes (Indoor Cycles)	Located on the rear base frame.
Consoles	Some models may have a separate serial number for the console. Bikes Located on the back of the console. Located on the bottom of the console. Ellipticals Located on the back of the console. Located on the bottom of the console. Treadmills Located on the back of the console.
Ellipticals	Some models have two separate serial numbers per machine: the base and the console. Body/Base of Machine Only Located on the front axle tube. Located on the fame of the machine. Located on the console mast bracket (remove cover).
Strength	Funtional Trainer Located on the floor support, user's right side. Single Station & Multi Station Located on the center floor support. Benches Located on the backrest support tube.
Treadmills	Some models have two separate serial numbers per machine: the base and the console. Body/Base of Machine Only Located on the front of the machine, underside of the main frame.

Steppers	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located on the main frame, user's right side. Located on the front stabilizer, user's left side.
Strength	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located under the seat. Located behind the back pad. Located on the lower frame. Located on the lower stabilizer foot.
Treadmills	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located on the front of the machine. Located on the cross frame (machine must be in folded position). Located on the side of the deck frame, user's left side.

Located on the front stabilizer bar. Located on the rear frame behind the seat. Located on the frame in front of the rear stabilizer. Located on the seat post frame. Located on the rear frame (may have to tip machine to the side to access).
Climbers	Located on the front stabilizer.
Ellipticals	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located on the bottom of the frame (front or rear, tilt unit to access). Located on the rear stabilizer bar. Located on the front of the machine.
Rowers	Located below the main monitor.
Skiers	Located on the front of the machine.
Steppers	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located on the front stabilizer bar. Located on the frame, in front of the steps. Located on the frame, in between the steps. Located on the rear stabilizer bar.
Strength	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located under the seat pad. Located on the stabilizer frame. Located on the mid frame stabilizer. Located on the base of the frame.
Treadmills	A serial number may be found in one of these locations. Located on the front of the machine. Located on the side of the deck frame, user's left side. Located inside the deck frame, user's left side. Located on the bottom of the machine (machine must be in folded position). Located on the cross bar (machine must be in folded postion). Located on the lower console mast.
